Attorney Roman’s family law practice includes divorce, asset division (including: treatment of gifted and inherited property; trusts; and valuation issues of closely held businesses including medical practices) support (alimony and child support) paternity actions, modification of agreements, custody disputes, prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements, and restraining orders.

Attorney Roman negotiates and drafts separation agreements, pre-nuptial and postnuptial agreements, parenting plans and post-divorce modification agreements.  Attorney Roman also accepts appointments as discovery master and conciliator. 

Attorney Roman entered private practice after starting her career as an Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County where she prosecuted major felony cases in both the District and Superior Courts and gained extensive trial experience.  During her tenure at the District Attorney’s Office, Attorney Roman successfully argued a case of first impression before the Supreme Judicial Court (Commonwealth v. Peace Chou) and successfully argued a case before the Appeals Court (Commonwealth v. Samosa Ruiz).

Attorney Roman draws upon her diverse employment experience to effectively and zealously advocate for her clients in order to achieve positive results. 

Attorney Roman believes positive results are achieved by keeping the needs of the client and his/her family in the forefront of the case and utilizing an analytical, yet practical approach, to achieve a satisfactory result.

Attorney Roman is also a certified family law mediator and conciliator.   Whenever possible, she helps individuals and clients through Alternative Dispute Resolution, including, negotiation, mediation, conciliation and arbitration.
Attorney Roman is an on-camera contributing legal analyst for WBZ-TV (CBS-Boston).  She provides meaningful and insightful on-camera commentary on legal cases of both national and local interest.  Attorney Roman has provided on-camera legal commentary on dozens of legal cases including: the Whitey Bulger indictments and arrest; the Clark Rockefeller trial; the Kimberly Cates trial in New Hampshire; the Michelle Carter trial and verdict; charges against Kevin Spacey; the Jussie Smollet charges and subsequent dismissal.

For six years, Attorney Roman was honored as a Massachusetts Rising Star in Massachusetts Super Lawyers/Boston Magazine, an honor awarded to only 2.5% of young lawyers in Massachusetts.  Attorney Roman is also a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
